What Is Gold Mode and Why It Matters

Gold Mode is the search mode that made GoldXtra the world’s first metal detector of its kind. Instead of treating every metal the same, Gold Mode tunes the detector’s signal processing to the response of gold and other precious metals, while suppressing the ground noise that normally hides them.

When to use it

• Prospecting in areas with known gold activity
• Searching for buried jewellery or caches
• Mineralised ground where normal modes give false signals

Tips

1. Ground balance first, then switch to Gold Mode.
2. Sweep slowly — deep targets give a softer, wider signal.
3. Use the Deep Search setting on TGX models for the largest objects.
